Frequently asked questions
What does CrowESG cover?+
CrowESG is built around the EFRAG VSME (2024) standard for non-listed SMEs. It covers the VSME baseline questionnaire, a carbon footprint, a SECR report, double materiality, sector benchmarking, and reusing your data to answer buyer questionnaires. It is not a full CSRD/ESRS or ISSB audit-grade reporting tool.
How is the carbon footprint calculated?+
Emissions use the UK Government (DESNZ) 2025 conversion factors. Scope 1 and Scope 2 come from your fuel and energy data, Scope 3 uses spend-screening, and refrigerant losses are calculated separately. The method is deterministic: the same inputs always produce the same figures.
What is the VSME standard?+
VSME (Voluntary Standard for non-listed Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) is an EFRAG standard that provides a simplified, proportionate ESG reporting framework for smaller businesses, often used to answer ESG requests from larger customers.
How much does CrowESG cost?+
The VSME plan is £49 per month, or £529 per year if you pay annually. You can start free, and the VSME Materiality Light tool stays free with no account required.
