What is AutogenAI?

AutogenAI is an AI bid-writing engine that generates and reviews proposal content using retrieval over a content library the customer builds from its own past bids. Independent listings describe it as pitched at enterprise bid teams of five or more, sector-agnostic, with an automated compliance review and stated alignment to the Procurement Act 2023. It does not include a UK tender discovery feed; customers bring their own pipeline.

AutogenAI is a well-funded, enterprise-scale company. It raised a $39.5m Series B in December 2023, led by Salesforce Ventures and Spark Capital, taking total investment to $65.3m at the time. If you run a large, multi-sector bid team and want a mature engine with a big content library, that scale is a genuine strength, and it is one CrowMark does not match today.

AutogenAI does not publish a price. Its pricing is enterprise, quoted on request, so any specific figure you see quoted elsewhere is a third-party estimate rather than a vendor rate. On this page we mark it as Not published.

What is CrowMark?

CrowMark is CrowAgent's UK bid and tender management suite, currently in beta and in daily use on real bids. It tracks Contracts Finder and Find a Tender, drafts answers grounded in the supplier's own submitted bids, and calculates PPN 002 social value in code. Its defining rule is figure-grounding: before a draft is shown, every £ and % in the prose is checked against a set of allowed figures computed from your own data, and if a number is not in that set the draft is rejected. Every AI-assisted draft also carries a PPN 017 AI-use disclosure and waits for a person to approve it.

After award, CrowMark keeps the commitment you bid attached to the contract: delivery percentages with a RAG status, evidence capture, monthly social-value reports, and checks against the Procurement Act 2023 KPI duties in sections 52 and 71. It is built for the supplier side of UK public-sector procurement, not for enterprise-wide proposal automation across every sector.

CrowMark publishes its pricing. Starter is £49 per month for 3 users, Pro is £149 per month for 10 users with post-award delivery tracking, and Portfolio is contact sales. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial.

Pricing compared

This is the clearest difference between the two. CrowMark states its numbers in public: £49 and £149 per month, with a free trial and no sales call required to see them. AutogenAI publishes no price and sells through a quote-on-request enterprise process. For a small supplier that wants to know the cost before committing time, published pricing matters, and CrowMark gives it. For an enterprise procurement team used to negotiated contracts, a quote-based model is normal and AutogenAI's scale may justify it.

Which should you choose?

Choose AutogenAI if

  • You run an enterprise bid team of five or more across multiple sectors.
  • You want a mature, venture-backed engine with a large content library.
  • You are comfortable with enterprise, quote-on-request pricing.
  • You already have your own tender pipeline and do not need UK discovery built in.

Choose CrowAgent (CrowMark) if

  • You are a UK SME or public-sector supplier who wants published pricing from £49 per month.
  • You need Contracts Finder and Find a Tender discovery refreshed daily.
  • You want the AI blocked from inventing a figure, with a PPN 017 disclosure on every draft.
  • You need deterministic PPN 002 social value maths and post-award delivery evidence.

Where CrowMark loses honestly

A balanced comparison has to concede the gaps. AutogenAI is a larger, better-funded company with a longer track record and an engine built for high-volume, multi-sector enterprise bidding. If you need that breadth, dedicated account management at enterprise scale, or a content engine tuned across many industries, AutogenAI is the more established option, and CrowMark, as a beta SME product, is not trying to be that. CrowMark is deliberately narrow: UK public-sector suppliers, grounded answers, social value and delivery evidence. The two are not mutually exclusive; some teams run an enterprise engine for the largest proposals and CrowMark for UK tender discovery, social-value scoring and post-award evidence.

Frequently asked questions

Is CrowMark or AutogenAI cheaper?

CrowMark publishes its prices: Starter is £49 per month and Pro is £149 per month, each with a 14-day free trial. AutogenAI does not publish a price; it is sold as an enterprise subscription on request, so a direct number-to-number comparison is not possible from public information.

Does AutogenAI publish its pricing?

No. AutogenAI lists no public price and quotes enterprise customers on request. Figures that circulate online are third-party estimates, not vendor-published rates.

Which is better for a small supplier or SME?

CrowMark is built for UK SMEs and public-sector suppliers, with self-serve plans from £49 per month. AutogenAI is built for enterprise bid teams of five or more, so it tends to be more than a small supplier needs.

Does AutogenAI find tenders for me?

AutogenAI has no built-in UK tender discovery feed; you bring your own pipeline. CrowMark tracks Contracts Finder and Find a Tender and refreshes the feed every morning at 06:00.

Can either tool stop the AI inventing figures?

CrowMark uses a deterministic figure-grounding gate: every £ and % in a draft has to exist in an allowed-figure set computed from your own data, or the draft is rejected. We cannot verify an equivalent guarantee in AutogenAI's public materials.

Is AutogenAI a bigger company than CrowAgent?

Yes. AutogenAI is venture-backed and enterprise-scale, having raised a $39.5m Series B in December 2023 and $65.3m in total. CrowMark is a newer product from CrowAgent, currently in beta, focused on the UK SME segment.

Does either cover PPN 002 social value maths?

CrowMark calculates PPN 002 social value deterministically in code against the 10% minimum weighting, and the AI never computes the total. AutogenAI is a general bid-writing engine rather than a dedicated social-value calculator.

Can I use both CrowMark and AutogenAI?

Yes. Some teams run an enterprise engine for large, complex proposals and use CrowMark for UK public-sector tender discovery, social-value scoring and post-award delivery evidence. The two are not mutually exclusive.
